Explore and enjoy

There is so much to do and so little time. Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge home of Space Coast Annual Birding and Wildlife Festival held each January. Spend some time on the Black Point Wildlife Drive; you never know what might show up! You can observe Manatee from a natural setting on the banks of the Haulover Canal.

If canoeing, kayaking or fishing is your interest Indian River Lagoon or Mosquito Lagoon are the places to go.  Fishing Charters are available through Captain Mark Wright . Captain Wright can answer all your questions about the Redfish Capitol of the World.

Rest and Relax

Soak up the sun or spend the day surfing at Canaveral National Seashore (24 miles of undisturbed beach) on the pristine and secluded Playalinda Beach in a tranquil setting with a fantastic view of the shuttle launch pads. Playalinda is home to three species of Giant sea turtles the loggerhead, leatherback and green sea turtle that deposit their eggs on Playalinda Beach from May to August each year.

Golf

Visit the tree lined avenues of Cocoa Village, featuring charming and unique shops and gourmet restaurants. Stroll along the riverbank or catch a performance at the playhouse.
